Welcome to RemediDocs
This guide walks you from sign-up to your first finished, documented job. It takes about 10 minutes to set up — then most jobs are faster to document than the clipboard you're replacing.
Set up your company
Go to Settings. Add your company name, address, phone, email, and upload your logo — it appears on every report and invoice you generate. Set your default sales-tax rate so invoices total correctly out of the box.
Tip: a clean logo makes your PDFs look like a $500/mo platform. It takes 30 seconds.
Add your team
Open Team and invite your technicians. Each person gets their own login — there's no per-user fee, so add everyone. You can record each tech's certifications (IICRC WRT/AMRT, NRPP-RMI, etc.) with expiration dates, so you always know who's current.
Roles: Admin sees everything and manages billing; Tech works jobs in the field; Viewer is read-only.
Create your first job
From Jobs, click New Job. Pick the property (or add a new one), choose the type — mold, water, or radon — assign a tech, and save. RemediDocs automatically builds the right phase workflow for that job type (e.g., Assessment → Containment → Remediation → Clearance → Closed).
Already tracking the lead? In Leads, drag it to "Won" and click Convert to Job — it creates the property and job for you.
Document in the field
Open the job on your phone. Everything you capture lives under the job:
- Readings — log moisture, temp, RH, CO₂, air quality, or radon with a room and material tag. Tap Scan meter to photograph your meter and let AI read the value for you.
- Moisture map — upload a floor plan and tap to drop each reading where you took it; the report shows a color-coded map.
- Photos — capture before/during/after shots with captions.
- Equipment — log air movers, dehumidifiers, and scrubbers with placement and removal dates.
- Drying log — record temp/RH and RemediDocs calculates dew point and GPP so you can prove the structure is drying.
As work progresses, advance the job through its phases — the status updates everywhere automatically.
Radon jobs
On a radon job you'll see a Radon System section. Record pre-mitigation pCi/L readings, the full ASD system (fan make/model/CFM/static pressure, piping, suction points, safety devices), and your post-mitigation readings. RemediDocs averages them and flags a clear pass/fail against the 4.0 pCi/L EPA action level.
Generate reports
On the job's Documents tab, pick a report type and tap Generate. You get a branded PDF in seconds — remediation report, certificate of completion, clearance certificate, daily drying report, or ANSI-AARST radon compliance report. Capture the customer's e-signature right on the device and it's embedded in the authorization and completion documents.
Share with the homeowner
Every job has a secure customer portal link — no login required for the homeowner. They can watch job status update live, see photos, and download their documents. Email it to them straight from the job. Fewer "where are we at?" phone calls.
Invoice & get paid
From the job's Invoices tab (or the main Invoices page), build an invoice with line items and tax, then email it to the customer. Need it in your accounting or estimating system? Export to a QuickBooks-ready or Xactimate-formatted CSV in one click. Mark it paid when the money lands and it flows into your revenue analytics.
Install & work offline
RemediDocs runs in your phone's browser — no app store needed. Open it and choose "Add to Home Screen" for a one-tap icon. In a basement or dead zone, keep working: readings and notes save on the device and sync automatically the moment you're back in signal.
